How Much Can We Learn From Referencing?

The first essential point behind referencing for any official documents is that it helps us avoid plagiarizing. We all know that plagiarizing is something just not acceptable. It is something that ruins your personality. Like it has been said, “Taking something from one man and making it worse is plagiarism.” When you plagiarize, you really destroy yourself and the source that you took the idea from. Since we have the best tool to protect us from such a disaster, why don’t we apply it? Referencing can be your best element in preventing you from facing such tough experience.

The second crucial point behind referencing is that it is something that shows your honesty, especially toward those whom you benefit from. Have you ever faced any experience when you did something great, and people appreciated you for that? So, you have to have the same feeling toward those who are hard-workers. As it has been said, “Appreciation is a wonderful thing; it makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.” Those people provide you something that advantages you, so why do you feel shame to give them a credit for their work and tell them thank you? 

Another most significant point behind referencing is that since it is n academic skill, it can make your document more persuasive and vivid. It is not a shame for you to show the people that part of your work is based on some others ideas. It is mostly giving your document more trust. You will tell the people about your real ability in observing knowledge. Moreover, when you used referencing, you will help your reader benefit what you write in two important ways. Firstly, you will provide a strong and foolproof document bout anything that you write about. Thus, your readers can get enough knowledge about what you wrote. Secondly, you will give a hint to your readers to go and find other sources and people whom they write about the same case that you write about. That way, your readers can go and find a complete answer for their questions that they may have about the subject that you point out.

All in all, you always have to consider your self as a honest human being. There are some behaviors that will derive this great attitude from you if you would not avoid them. Stealing people’s ideas is one of those attitudes that is really ruined your personality. Since referencing will help you be survived from such kind of tough experiences, why don't you promise to never steal and cheat? Let’s promise to work hard and always give a credit to those people who work hard and provide something that you benefit it.
